Painting Exhibition in Mayfair

'Royal Iris an Incredible Journey' is a new painting exhibition by artist painter Lorraine Fossi.

The Royal Iris - a Mersey Ferryboat once famous in Liverpool - has provoked the work. "She lays languishing outside of my studio in Woolwich. I see her almost every day, beautiful, lonely and compelling" says Lorraine. "I don't know what her fate will be and wanted to reinvent a new journey for her, through my love and artistic vision "

Fossi's work exists half way between abstaction and landscape and the sea is her mastered suject. With her new subject she has expanded her work outside her own practice, attracting the attention of the Press (14th March Liverpool Echo, Ici Londres (April issue), and Radio in an interview with Tom Mallow.

Gerry Marsden (Ferry Cross the Mersey) and Sir Paul McCartney have been invited to the Private Viewing: On Tuesday 16 April from 18:00 to 21:30.
