Euroart Studios celebrates its 11th Open Studios & Art Exhibition the 7 – 9 June 2013 in its new premises at Gaunson House in South Tottenham. Originally founded in January 2002 by professional artist Lorraine Clarke and space projects quality consultant Nigel Young, in warehouses on an industrial site a few doors from Tottenham Hotspurs Football Club, they were two years ago obliged to relocate to make way for a new football stadium development.

Lorraine will be amongst the artists opening their studios to the public. She is a prolific artist and in her “wunderkammer” studio, visitors can experience an amazing collection of work – including clay sculptures, installations, fine illustrations, wearable art, and pieces from her spectacular exhibitions “Nosce Te Ipsum” & “Totem Body”. Also on show will be the exquisite “Carousel of Curiosities” giant egg (on loan for the event), which was Lorraine’s contribution to the recent Lindt Chocolate ‘Big Egg Hunt 2013’. Merchandise (books, T-shirts & gift cards) bearing images of her unique “Fertility Dolls” series will also be available. Jessica Lack (Guardian Guide) once wrote of Lorraine’s art, “… it’s a spiritual rollercoaster ride into the human psyche”.

Also opening will be Nigel Booth who was responsible for prosthetics & makeup in films such as Hellboy 2 and The English Patient, and numerous TV productions; Matt Small who will be exhibiting his iconic trademark works which figure prominently on London’s Urban Art scene; Anna Barlow with her stunningly life-like ice cream treats entirely rendered in porcelain and Anne Teahan and her enchanting and magical paper sculptures.

The event will show an eclectic mix of high quality art - painting, sculpture, installation, animation, costume design, SFX sculpture, photography and more. Euroart boasts an impressive collection of talented artists and surely merits past visitors’ comments such as “never have I seen so much quality work in one location”.

Euroart is North London’s largest artist-led studios group providing attractive studios at affordable rates. Euroart is a self-funded, not-for-profit company, and is not recipient of any core funding.
