Free Cycle Checks

As an increasing number of London cyclists are set to take to the road over summer, Barclays, sponsor of Barclays Cycle Hire and Barclays Cycle Superhighways, is teaming up with social enterprise Bikeworks to provide free roadside bicycle safety checks located across London including Kensington and Chelsea.

Barclays is aiming to fix punctures, dodgy brakes and wobbly wheels on over 5,000 bikes.

The Bike Clinics will be positioned along Chelsea Bridge (South side) every Wednesday for two months, focusing on the Barclays Cycle Superhighways, capturing Londoners as they cycle home from work.

The Bike Clinics will be manned by graduates of Cycle Into Work, a scheme enabling young disadvantaged people to take up training and employment in the growing cycling industry.
