The exhibition “God Save The Pop! Willow solo Show” will start on Saturday 18th May at 6.30 pm at the Amstel Art Gallery. Painter, graphic artist and designer, Willow is able to reinterpret the traditional contemporary american pop art, developing a personal expressive language in which it is possible to recognize influences and ideas taken from the works of Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring and Basquiat, intensified by their styles of street art and the expressive of the comics.
Born in 1978 in Milano, he graduated in 2000 from the Comics and Illustration School in Milan. He’s been collaborating for 12 years with publishing houses, advertisement agencies with his graphic work and also with gadgets and design objects business. With the pseudonim “Willow” since 2008, he makes canvas by enamel, graphic works, vinyl toys with a New POP inspiration. He is collaborating with art galleries, big companies and design studios all over the world.
