Pele Cox former Poet in Residence at the Royal Academy of Arts, will be reading from her work.

Kerry Hudson will be reading from Tony Hogan Bought me an Ice Cream Float before he Stole my Ma, a family saga set in the 1980s involving three generations of Aberdeen fishwives, recently shortlisted for the Authors’ Club’s Best First Novel Award.

Courttia Newland will be reading from his latest novel, The Gospel According to Cane about a African-Caribbean woman whose 6-month-year-old baby was kidnapped. Twenty years on and a young man turns up on her doorstep claiming to be her son.

Saira Shah, an award-winning documentary film maker, will be reading from her debut novel The Mouse-proof Kitchen, about a couple coming to terms with living with a disabled child.

Meike Ziervogel will be reading from her debut novel, Magda, based on the life of Magda Goebbels.
