Emma Bagley - Reality of life

This powerfully moving interactive Installation, by the up and coming artist Emma Bagley is a truly stimulating, heart-wrenching piece of art. Portraying the physiological and physical issues surrounding society at present. Viewers will feel immersed and as though they have discreetly become apart of the work.

Emma states: “Whether we choose to except this way of living exists, or we turn a blind eye, it does exist and needs to be acknowledged at least.”

Emma uses this to her advantage to manipulating and encouraging the question in the viewer ‘is it real’? The whole notion of creating a work of art which is boarder line art and real life is extremely important.

The artist wants us to take a reflective look at our own lives away from the work at hand, and step into her intimate, isolating, Sculptural Narrative and feel lost in a profound world, as if passionately trespassing on someone else’s life.

“The aesthetic quality and unresolved meaning left within each object intrigues me. The journey they have enlisted and the continuous journey from my hands, creating a new meaning and life. Creating an environment and atmosphere for the spectator is crucial to my work, allowing them to be immersed and lost in a profound world.” Emma Bagley

Her work is unnerving with the on going themes of abandonment, desolation, neglect and discord. Portraying events and scenes that are not often physically seen, “as if I am opening symbolically closed doors.”

The Installation is her Degree Show piece at Chelsea School of Art, and is an experience that you wouldn’t want to miss. Gripping the viewer’s attention as soon as they turn the corner, the 6.6ft x 6ft Sculpture will not only capture your heart, but change your view on what art is, and the Art world forever.

The Artists recent achievements have been firstly, selected for the 2012 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, commissioned from Hitachi Consulting and accepted for Museum of London ‘Late Night event’ 2012 and LeeFest Bike project 2013, along with numerous Group and Solo Shows across London and Nottingham.

Private view: Friday 14th June 2013 6-9pm

Come along early to meet the artist herself and pick up postcards, key rings and a glass of champagne to toast the Artists successful Degree Show.
