Brent's Finest

This concert features three of Brent’s best music groups, all linked to the Brent Council’s award-winning Brent Music Service. Brent Concert Band achieved a ‘Platinum’ award at the National Concert Band Festival in 2013. Brent Junior Singers have recently been selected to perform at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham at the National Music for Youth Festival in July. Regent Brass became the London and Southern Counties Champions in 2013 and will be competing against the best brass bands in Britain at the Royal Albert Hall in October. Regent Brass are joined by the Regent Community Band to perform the World Premiere of a piece commissioned with grants from the BBC Performing Arts Fund and the PRS for Music Foundation. The piece has been written by award-winning composer Raymond Yiu and draws on Brent’s diverse population.
