Creativity and Well being and Open Bubble week

A series of free performances and conversations to mark creativity and well being week (and to show off our new building)

17 June:
Creativity and well being of young adults
3pm - 5.30pm
An opportunity to discuss how participation in creative activities relates to the wellbeing of young people. Come share examples of best practice and reflect on the values that underpin our practice.
6.30 - 8.30pm London Bubble’s 14-21 year old theatre makers share examples of their work.
See scratch performances from our teenage youth theatre group and our LB+ programme.

18 June
Children, creativity and communication
4.30 - 6.15pm
For the last 6 years we have been developing a programme of drama interventions for children aged 5-7 that promotes confidence and communication. This one hour practical workshop will give you a taste of the drama activities that we use in Speech Bubbles and an understanding of the planning approach. The session is suitable for teachers, teaching assistants, therapists and theatre makers.

19 June
Creative homes, creative people
2 - 4 pm
A gathering of our Creative Homes participants, to share their work and explain a bit more about the aims and methods of the project.

International Adult Clowns
A free, bring a friend, taster evening, with highly skilled, deeply experienced and joyfully random clown doctor/drama facilitator Julia Voce.

Intergenerational Theatre Making
2 - 3.30pm
From Docks to Desktops - the roadshow
Claire and her team, share maps, objects and stories gathered during the From Docks to Desktops project.

4 - 6pm
Making theatre intergenerationally
Bubble have been making inter-generational theatre since 2000, enjoying the process and studying the effects on both participants and audiences.
This session will look at the process and thinking behind this work and will involve director Jonathan Petherbridge plus artists and participants who have chosen to make work with people aged from 7 to 70+

7pm
From Docks to Desktops - a sharing
A sharing of the work created so far with our intergenerational cast of the From Docks to Desktops project.

Bubble theatre is made from people - 100% organic, locally sourced, full of goodness, containing nutritional yarns and enriched experiences.
You are welcome to come along to as much or as little of the week as you would like to, but it would be helpful to us to know if you're planning to join us.
