After a short break away your Super Man turned Super Hero of the Underground House Scene is back in full effect to reclaim his Super Star, Number One, DJ Status as the Original Supa D.

Supa D hails from the heart of East London and was born into a heavy musically influenced family which consists of singers, producers, musicians and much more. Growing up as a child he closely observed and became inspired by his father who is also a DJ and it is to his father who Supa D pays homage in picking up his outstanding DJ-ing skills, and techniques from.
By his early teens Supa D was adamant that he wanted to pursue a career as a DJ and surround his self with music at all times.

At just 14 years old Supa D managed to purchase his first pair of music decks for just £5 from his local market and with this new investment began practicing his DJ skills on a daily basis. Supa D quickly began collecting vinyls to build up a selection of music to allow him to DJ at events and for radio. Supa D's frequent visits to his local record store “Wired for Sound” in East London (where he would purchase vinyl) saw him build a genuine relationship with the record store owners and it was off the back of his enthusiasm for music alone that he was offered a full time job with the company where he stayed for 10 years. Whilst working at Wired for Sound Supa D was able to keep updated with the newest music releases, play, sale and advise on all genre of music on a daily basis building his knowledge in regards to his wide building DJ selection.

Richard was into 80s Hip-Hop and Electro as a child as well as Michael Jackson. When he heard Strings of Life in 1987 he was sold on House Music from there and moved into Hardcore in 91. From there he then followed Hardcore as it evolved into Jungle and then Drum & Bass. When things got a bit nasty in those scenes he then moved into Garage/2step, Grime and Dubstep.

House Music has always had it's place in Richard's heart and when Dubstep went overground he just kept with the house vibe. Richard now plays Deep, Tech and Soulful House music although he sometimes loves to play a Jungle or Old Skool show from time to time. Richard has played on numerous radio stations such as: Housewavelive, London FM, Fuzion and now he is currently on Vision FM as well having a residency at Bar 512.
