Join CSW and United Action for Egyptian Christians (UAFEC) for an ecumenical day of prayer for the Middle East.

This is an important opportunity to stand in solidarity and prayer with Middle Eastern Christians who are currently facing many kinds of persecution and hardship. As the Arab Uprisings gathered pace in 2011 there has also been a steep increase in the persecution of Christians and other religious minorities, who were already living in very difficult circumstances.

Christians in the region have been the victims of sectarian killings and kidnappings sentenced to lengthy prison terms because of their faith, have had homes and businesses destroyed, and live under discriminatory legislation. They live in troubled times and have suffered for their faith – and they ask that we continue to keep them in our prayers.
