The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, the world’s most unique and longest ocean race, is officially unveiling its GREAT Britain yacht on Thursday 1 August in Trafalgar Square. The impressively large 70ft long race boat will make a dramatic visual impact in the London landmark, where it will remain until Sunday evening 4 August, allowing race enthusiasts a rare opportunity to get a close encounter with a new Clipper 70 ocean racer out of the water.

The Clipper Race was founded by British yachting icon Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, the first man to sail solo, non-stop around the world. The only event of its type, the race offers anyone, regardless of age or previous sailing experience, the opportunity to join the adventure and circumnavigate the world in this eleven-month marathon.

The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race 2013-14 starts Sunday 1 September from St Katharine Docks, London, and will return almost a year later after completing 40,000 miles of ocean in 15 races visiting 13 countries with one winner.

Get up close and personal with the next generation of ocean racing yachts, at Trafalgar Square from 01 – 04 August. To find out more, visit the official website.
