In honour of the start of the grouse season on 12th August, the award-winning Brompton Bar and Grill will team up with the recently launched London Shooting Club to host its latest installment of The Grill Club, this time with Grouse as the theme. The evening will be a truly unforgettable gastronomic delight, involving preparation and cookery demonstrations, as well as a wine pairing.

The London Shooting Club will bring the first grouse shot down from the moors on 12th August straight into The Brompton Bar & Grill’s kitchen. Due to many shoot’s distance from London, is very difficult to ensure that grouse arrives in London restaurants actually on the 12th August so guests to this one-off Grill Club are in for a real treat. Guests will enjoy an aperitif and crudités with saffron aioli on arrival followed by an introduction and explanation about shooting grouse by
London Shooting Club founder, Clive Hetherington.

Brompton Bar & Grill owner and chef Francois O’Neill and Gary Durrant, BBG Executive Chef will then do a cooking demonstration on how to prepare grouse, showing the best ways to pluck, gut and cook it. Over the course of the evening, guests will enjoy a delicious dinner including: Chilled Cucumber Gazpacho with Poached Sea Trout, Whole Roast Grouse and English Strawberries & Raspberries with Homemade Lemon Curd, Poppy & Sesame, polished off with coffee and chocolates.

This will then be followed by a brief talk and tasting by Rupert Bairamian of award winning wine dealers, Hallgarten Druitt, which will explore and demonstrate which wines go well with grouse including two Burgundy wines from Domaine Rene Monnier. Hallgarten Druitt is one of the most respected and celebrated names in the wine trade with over 70 years of experience with a highly acclaimed list.

The London Shooting Club launched this summer and is an exclusive members club and concierge service that specialises in providing access to the finest shooting experiences in the UK and internationally. With a host of tailor made experiences and social activities, it is an excellent way of bringing together like-minded sporting enthusiasts. They will also be running a simulated grouse shoot at The West London Shooting School on 12th August for those unable to leave London for one of the most famous days in the shooting calendar.

Occurring regularly and exploring different themes at each session, The Grill Club provides the perfect Monday evening activity for meat lovers in London.
