Following the principle of working with nature, rather than against it, Permaculture is a design system for creating sustainable human environments. It integrates land use and food production, energy-efficiency and sustainable building, economics and community resilience, social systems and wellbeing to create a holistic system and vision for a changing world.

In a participatory and playful introduction to Permaculture Design we will explore the questions What is Permaculture? Where does it come from? and How can we use it in our lives as individuals, groups or as a society? We will explore the Permaculture ethics, Earthcare, Peoplecare and Fairshare as well as a number of Permaculture principles to see how design and the creation of beneficial relationships can help us create a resilient and sustainable culture.

This workshop will be led by Permaculture and Ecovillage Designer Michel Thill.
