An artist of international standing, Caroline was featured on a number of tracks for the 2009 BBC “Children in Need” album as well as several of her own records including the 2006 release, “Urban Lullabies”. Her CV includes work at prestigious venues around the world, including the Sydney Opera House, Hong Kong Arts Centre and the Nederland Dance Theatre. She currently performs with several groups, including FRED, an homage to “1950’s Havana & the swinging sounds of Hollywood”. For her 606 show Caroline will lead a stellar modern jazz quartet featuring Jonathan Gee (piano), Ben Hazleton (bass) & Winston Clifford (drums). A sophisticated, good-time gig from one of the masters of Jazz vocals.

Ant Law is a brilliant guitarist who is simply brimming with musical energy and a highly innovative approach to modern jazz. Beginning as many other highly talented musicians with training on classical piano he received a musical scholarship at both Edinburgh University and Berklee College of Music. After realising the dazzling album “Entanglement” earlier this year that got pulses racing, he has now focused on performing live with his quintet throughout the UK and internationally. Tonight’s gig promises to combine a regular modern jazz playing style with contemporary improvisation, as described in Law’s guitar tutorial published by Mel Bay, “3rd Millenium Guitar – an Introduction to Perfect Fourths Tuning”. The band assembled by Ant tonight are some of the best upcoming musicians in the UK: Ivo Neame will be on piano, Michael Chillingworth on sax, Matt Ridley on bass and Dave Hamblett drums.

“Bustling power, judiciously harnessed with elegance and poise….” London Jazz News
“This would be an exciting band to hear live.” John Fordham, The Guardian
