Public debate at Stratford Picturehouse

The creative industries are booming in east London - where do they go from here? This free public debate will explore arts and business opportunities in the east of the capital and the importance of the creative economy. Chaired by broadcaster Anita Sethi, panellists include Hadrian Garrard, Director of art-commissioning organisation Create London, community organiser Alvin Carpio, architect Amica Dall and Gavin Poole, CEO of iCITY.

The debate is the first of three being staged by Birkbeck, University of London, at different venues in east London during September to celebrate the opening on 5th November of University Square Stratford, a new university campus in east London shared by Birkbeck and the University of East London.
