River Cruise and Boat Visits

Ever seen Tower Bridge Lift? Here's your chance to get it to raise just for you!

Dutch sailing barge Volharding will be doing trips on Saturday 21st September. Starting at Hermitage Moorings you’ll be able to explore our community of historic vessels, residents will be on hand to answer question on what living aboard is like. We’ll then start with a safety briefing before casting off. Once in position, listen carefully for the alarm as the bridge is cleared. Then as the arms start to lift we’ll glide through, waving as the crowds take our photo. As we turn around you’ll get an up close view of HMS Belfast, before the bridge lifts again to allow our return. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served during your voyage which will last approximately 2hours.
If a cruise isn't for you then Hermitage is open to the public free of charge from 10 - 4 Saturday & Sunday, so you can walk around and have a look at the boats. There will also be a cafe serving coffee/tea and cake.

Cruises depart at 10:00, 12:15 or 15:00
