Joe and Tom have been evacuated to their Aunt’s house in East Anglia during the Second World War. One night, they dare each other to visit an old abandoned house out on the marshes and find themselves inadvertently stumbling into a war-time mystery whose tragic repercussions will haunt Joe into his old age…

A piece of dance theatre produced in collaboration with the Conservatoire de Strasbourg, ‘The Turkey Carpet’ is performed in both English and French, to live music by Benjamin Britten.

Pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, Joe and Tom sont évacués dans la maison de leur tante dans la région de l’Est-Anglie en Angleterre. Une nuit, enhardis l’un par l’autre, ils se glissent dans l’obscurité vers une vieille maison abandonnée perdue dans les marais. Ils vont tomber par hasard sur une mystérieuse énigme tramée par la guerre, dont les tragiques répercussions hanteront Joe jusqu’à ses vieux jours…

Une pièce de théâtre dansé produite en collaboration avec le Conservatoire de Strasbourg, « The Turkey Carpet » est interprété en anglais et en français, sur de la musique de Benjamin Britten, jouée sur scène.
