An island emerges between France and the UK. Une nouvelle civilisation?Or an accident waiting to happen?

An Island called Londris has emerged in the sea, rising like a beacon of hope between France and England.

What do we do? Start a new government? Have a big Festival? Buy some combine harvesters? Or maybe run a First Aid course so we don't kill ourselves by accident.

Join us for a hilarious, informative, bilingual evening of health and safety for the citizens of this newly found country, Liberte, Fraternite, Egalite et le Premier Secours.

Our show emerged from two things: the experiences of attending a first aid course and the question What is society?

RT productions is an emerging production company working in partnership with venues and companies. We want to make the actor/audience relationship extraordinary. We seek the epic scale in text and bring playfulness, imagination to adult audiences. RT Productions was formed in 2011 for director and movement specialist Ros Philips to develop her practice. One Million TIny Plays About Britain By Craig Taylor was their debut production. The show was selected by Made in Scotland to be part of their Fringe festival showcase of the best in Scottish performing arts and then played at the Royal Festival Hall. My Name Is Rachel Corrie is the second production and began at Glasgow Citizens Theatre. Ros is also an Associate Director at Sphinx Theatre

Writer Madeleine Bowyer has previously written Fallen Angel for Stoke Newington Festival and La Forchetta for Prithvi International Festival Bombay and Grahamstown Festival South Africa. Her acting work includes the Olympic Opening Ceremony with Danny Boyle, The Second Coming for Film Four with Debbie Tucker Green, Black Mirror National Anthem with Charlie Brooker, the long running role of Frankie Smith in Emmerdale and Execution of Justice at Southwark Playhouse
