After a fantastic run at the Edinburgh Fringe with Laughing Horse this
summer, Wish Experience is bringing A Brief History of Beer to London!

Before leaving the UK to tour microbreweries in Australia and the US, A Brief History of Beer will come to London for a limited run. An
educational, delicious ramble through the myths and legends surrounding everyone's favourite bevvy! Equal measures theatre, lecture, and surreal drink-a-long game, in A Brief History of Beer, Will Glenn and Trish Parry ask audiences to join them in their slap dash Pint Machine, where they travel through time, from ancient Sumeria to present day, learning about the world's favourite drink. The Wish founders have combed the records, visited the ruins, and tasted an impossible number of beers to bring you this docudramedy based on the life and times of our mistress and our muse ... the humble beer.

Wish received praise in Edinburgh from many reviewers. A Brief History
of Beer is "definitely one for the avid pub-frequenter" (Millie Morris, Edfringe Review), and "a fizzy flagon of edutainment" (Paul Levy, Fringereview). Broadway Baby's James Macnamara said "A Brief History of Beer gives us this information through a series of quantum hops akin to those made by the Starship Enterprise, light-heartedly taking us back and forth through time in an attempt to find what the essence of 'beer' really is and why it means so much to us... Glenn and Parry really care about beer and it shows in the way they have assembled this performance."

Very popular with beer enthusiasts, brewers, and historians alike, this will be the final opportunity to see the show in the UK for the
foreseeable future.
