Mehran works as a cashier in a restaurant and is stricken by misery at his simple life. Encouraged by his ex-wife Marjan he makes plans of robbery and kidnapping, convincing his friend Davood, a pizza maker who is similarly dissatisfied with his life, to assist him. However, their plans are shaken up when Davood's wife, Yalda, joins them on their journey. Through a series of flashbacks and flash forwards, 'Nowhere Nobody' tells a beautiful story of interconnected characters who meet through a series of events, each reeking of a desperate loneliness. They chase a dream of happiness based on money, yet become increasingly isolated, losing their sense of identity further over the course of their journey and the vast wilderness in which they find themselves wandering. In tune with New Wave Iranian cinema's philosophical key, this film works as a powerful investigation into the link between money and happiness.
