“The answer to poverty is not simply more income.
The answer is choice and opportunity. The answer is freedom and dignity.”
- Jacqueline Novogratz, Founder & CEO of Acumen.

Acumen's volunteer-led arm, London+Acumen, is hosting its 3rd annual flagship DIGNITY Exhibition & Auction to highlight the importance of dignity, not dependence, in changing the way the world tackles poverty. DIGNITY does this through leveraging powerful photography to engage the public and generate social change. Join us for an exquisite night out with breathtaking photography, an inspiring crowd from all walks of life, an exclusive venue in central London, amazing artistic performances by Somita Basak, fantastic networking opportunities, and drinks and canapés.

Together with beautiful images from the Nuru project, an NGO that uses photography for social impact.

Event format:
6.30pm Doors open & viewing of photographs
7.00pm Welcome by London+Acumen
7.10pm Speech by Sir Timothy Ackroyd
7.15pm Classical South Indian performance portraying dignity through dance by Somita Basak
7.30pm Silent auction of photographs continues, drinks & canapes and networking
9.00pm Auction winners announced
9.15pm Drinks until late

Celebrate the beautiful images captured by the winners of our inaugural DIGNITY Photo Contest that portray the importance of dignity in our daily existence. Participate in an auction of the best captures to support Acumen’s work in investing in social enterprises, emerging leaders, and breakthrough ideas across the developing world. An invaluable opportunity for you to make a positive change, shift mindsets and debate the importance of dignity, not dependence with high profile business people, philanthropists, NGOs and the creative community in London.
