In this workshop we will work to create aliveness and connection in the physical, energetic and emotional body by using a dynamic sequence of pranayama, core work, inversions and standing poses.

We will explore strength, energy and integrity in our practice, using the breath as a way to unravel habitual tensions in the hips, neck and shoulders, shed layers of fear, and create more feeling in areas of ‘numbness’. Through this process you will be offered the tools to take a more active role in shifting the way you feel by exploring what delights and brightens you in your practice and in your daily life.

Forrest yoga is a dynamic practice built on the pillars of breath, strength, integrity and spirit. The unique sequencing in forrest yoga is brilliant for building strength, stability and flexibility, with a strong focus on breath, generating energy in the core, and unwinding the neck, shoulders and hips. Poses are held longer to give the physical body an opportunity to release on a physical, energetic and emotional level. The forrest yoga practice is very effective for creating healing around injuries and is suitable for all levels. Modifications will be offered

about the teacher:

Kristi completed her first yoga teacher training in 2007 and began teaching full-time at pure yoga in hong kong. She gathered a rich amount of experience teaching group classes, privates and workshops and had the opportunity of working with teachers from all over the world. Kristi began incorporating forrest yoga into her teaching after having experienced the advanced forrest yoga teacher training in hong kong, in 2010. She went on to complete the forrest yoga foundation training in houston texas, in 2011, followed by a year long mentorship programme to become a fully certified forrest yoga teacher. It was through this journey that kristi discovered the power, beauty and healing that had unfolded in her own life through forrest yoga. www.kristiforrestyoga.co.uk
