In June 2012, the Academy of Ancient Music brought Handel's Water Music back to its original context on the Thames to an audience of a million worldwide as part of Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant. In this concert, introduced by Christopher Hogwood, they play the chamber music version of his famous work, in a rich programme of baroque pieces by Handel, Jommelli and Boyce.
