If you’ve been coveting a unique piece of contemporary studio glass, then The London Glassblowing Silent Auction is for you.
From 27th February until 15th March, you can bid for spectacular glass pieces by internationally renowned glass artist and London Glassblowing founder, Peter Layton. The auction collection, comprising around 60 Lots, will include historic Highlight pieces from Peter’s private collection, also unique developmental pieces, the like of which are rarely seen in the Gallery.

For a taste of what’s to come, visit the London Glassblowing website to preview the first 16 unique pieces destined for the auction. Latest additions to the auction preview include an early experimental piece for Layton’s Cascade series, an unusual Green Paradiso Organic pair and a remarkable Large Spirale stoneform. By 27th February, when bidding opens, you will be able to view the entire auction catalogue online and can place your bid by phone or email. From 6th – 15th March, all the Auction pieces will be exhibited in the London Glassblowing Gallery and you can place your bid in person. On 15th March, when bidding closes, paper bids will be accepted in the gallery until 6pm, whilst bids by email will be accepted until midnight. Remember - you don’t need a small fortune to participate; reserve prices start at just £200.
