ABOUT FRANCES OSBORNE
Frances Osborne was born in London in 1969, worked as a barrister, investment research analyst and journalist. Her first two books are the biographies Lilla’s Feast and the international bestseller The Bolter, which tells the scandalous life of her five-times married and divorced great grandmother, Idina Sackville. Her latest book, Park Lane, is her first novel. Set in 1914 London, it tells the story of two determined women forging their own lives in a rapidly changing world.
‘Park Lane is defter than a comedy of manners. Osborne echoes the refrains of Henry James and Edith Wharton, creating an air of geniality, even gentle comedy, to conceal intrigue and darkness.’ - Spectator
