Come attend, and learn more about how we are moving towards a sustainable future. With speeches, panel discussion, networking and guests from Dow Chemicals, Friends of the Earth and the Institute for Sustainable Resources, the GBF 2014 promises to be stimulating, informative, interactive – and completely free!

The GBF 2014 will bring together experts from a range of academic and research fields, as well as leading figures in industry and government to discuss new challenges to the way business and economic activities are being conducted. You will have the opportunity to meet, listen to and interact with professionals in the field of renewable energy, sustainable development and manufacturing. Moreover, guest speakers from the student body will be delivering speeches on their chosen topic.

Why is this relevant?

According to the UNEP’s Green Economy Report, the demand for diminishing resources will grow and income gaps will widen as the world’s population increases to 9 billion by 2050. Crises arising in the last decade such as climate change, biodiversity loss and resource scarcity hint at what may come unless we change our patterns of behaviour. This event will open your eyes on what is currently being done to prevent such a future.
