GLOW (written by Manjinder Virk)
GLOW follows a teenage girl boxer (Kul) living with her father (Raj) after the death of her mother. Overcome with grief, Raj is unable to support his daughter as she fights to survive so she conjures up someone who can, Muhammad Ali. Her best mate (Ant) is obsessed with Lord of the Rings, a world in which he can belong. Each escapes to their own corner but for how long before they are knocked down?
GLOW was commissioned by Theatre Centre and first performed in 2003, it was also published in an Anthology of Plays for Young People.
