The Chrisp Street Market Show is a special live events series that will take place across three consecutive Saturdays and will feature a free outdoor programme of local music, boxing, film and food.

The series kicks off with a celebration of the East End’s boxing heritage. The Lansbury Amateur Boxing Club will host a special outdoor boxing tournament at Chrisp Street Market Square. Events are free and open to all.

Full programme
12 pm – Open Mic session.

1 pm – Music Show: East London Radio interview world champion boxer Mark Prince and The Lansbury ABC boxers take us through the songs that help them train and prepare for a big fight.

2pm – Culture Show 1 of 3: Bow Arts in conversation with Matthew Krishanu. The artist will speak about his exhibition Another Country at the Nunnery Gallery, and his experiences of being a Bow Arts artist living close to Chrisp Street Market.

3pm – Future Market Show 1 of 3: The Possibilities and Challenges: In a three-part series that looks at the role the market will play in the redevelopment of Chrisp Street, this first show asks local traders, residents and stakeholders what they think the problems are facing Chrisp Street Market today and how they might be overcome.

4pm – The Food Show: Lansbury Estate resident Chef Richard cooks hot dogs with ingredients sourced in the market and local butchers.

5pm – 7pm: Outdoor boxing tournament featuring the Lansbury Amateur Boxing Club.
