This summer, Bodo’s Schloss, already well loved for bringing all the fun and glamour of après ski to the heart of Kensington, will launch a new and improved restaurant area and menu. Named after Bodo’s Cafezelt, the oldest tent at Munich’s legendary Oktoberfest and Schloss, the Austrian word for palace, this unique restaurant bar and disko concept offers the perfect alpine escape, without having to set foot outside London.

Modelled on an authentic Austrian farmhouse, quirky design features include: ski lined walls, a DJ booth fashioned from a 1920s vintage ski lift and of course, the Bodo’s mascot, a cow standing guard over the entrance. Staff attired in traditional dirndls and lederhosen welcome guests in to relax in the rustic setting on cow hide banquettes.

Bodo’s Schloss will launch a separate dedicated restaurant area this summer, offering a blend of classic and contemporary dishes in a stylish and relaxed setting, with red and white gingham check tablecloths and reclaimed wood used throughout. Talented Head Chef Jordan Sempler (The Lanesborough, 1 Lombard Street) will create a menu featuring lighter dishes for summer including; Crab, Orange and Shaved Fennel Salad with Toasted Sesame Seeds and a Green Herb Dressing and Asparagus, Pea and Marcarpone Risotto with Basil and Aged Parmesan and Wild Cornish Seabass, Guests will feel they are spending the summer in the alps, with picnic hampers available for diners to enjoy at their table or take away.

The restaurant will host Fondue Wednesdays, in association with celebrated live band, The London Essentials, where guests can enjoy cheese and chocolate fondues at the night, alongside other alpine classics such as Chicken or Veal Wiener Schnitzel, House Dumplings with Nurenberger Sausages and Sauerkraut, or Lamb Goulash. Guests can round off the perfect meal with indulgent desserts such as; Apple Strudel, Dark Chocolate Fondant and Sachertorte.

Bodo’s bar serves up some truly innovative, tongue-in cheek cocktails alongside their signature steins with drinks including; a sharing drink served in a Ski Boot, a heady blend of White, Golden, Dark, Anejo and Overproof Rums and Fruit Juice, The Shot Ski, served on a ski with Raspberry Schnapps, Fresh Raspberries, Lemon and Champagne and Golden Goat, a silken mix of Sailor Jerry's Spiced Rum, Liquor 43-vanilla based liquor, Pear Schnapps and Moet Champagne.

Bodo’s transforms into ‘Die Diskothek’, a nightclub hosting some of Europe’s finest DJS in true apres-ski style between Wednesday and Saturday, with a highlight being the weekly Donnerstag party, sponsored by Ciroc Vodka. Guests wearing traditional Alpine dress or mountain ski-wear receive complimentary entry and can dance until the sun comes up over the alps.

Bodo’s Schloss can also organize any type of event, from dining to cocktail parties. The talented events team will create a truly bespoke experience with menus, live entertainment, DJS, bands, and photography. Guests can create their own winter wonderland or Oktoberfest knees up. This summer they will be showing the World Cup 2014 on HD screens and have create a full package for guest who prefer to enjoy the games in luxurious settings with canapés, beer and full waiter service.
