The One World Media Awards are regarded amongst journalists reporting on foreign affairs and international stories as ‘the one award that any journalist hopes to win’. The Awards recognise excellence in media coverage of the developing world, reflecting the social, political and cultural life of people across the globe.

Now in their 26th year, the annual One World Media Awards are attended by key figures from across the media industry, government, and development NGOs. The 13 award categories cover all types of media, from television and radio to print, digital media and film, and the list of nominees boast many of the top names in broadcasting, filmmaking and journalism.

This year saw the introduction of the Short Film Award and the Corruption Reporting Award, sponsored by Transparency International. As in previous years, the Awards ceremony will culminate in the presentation of the Special Award for an outstanding media organisation working on the ground in the developing world.

The evening begins with a drinks and canapés reception, followed by the Awards ceremony presented by Jon Snow. Join us after the ceremony for a reception to celebrate the Awards and meet the winners.

Tickets to attend the ceremony are now on sale at oneworldmedia.org.uk.
