Looking for something to do over the end of May bank holiday? - come and join in with the Lightbox Project! Hosted by independent energy supplier, Utilita, this event has been set up to give something back to communities in the UK – held in the heart of Brixton, this three-day, free, drop-in workshop event is open to all, encouraging children to learn through play.

The Lightbox Project is a free event offering an exciting range of free drop-in electricity and robotics workshops. Aimed at young families, the diverse and educational workshops include ‘Build your own Robot’, the fascinating ‘Electricity Workshop’, as well as a variety of activities which can all be joined in with upon arrival, including a ‘Robot Wars’ arena, ‘Water Time Machine’ and an opportunity to see a 3D printer in action - busy printing robots for children to take away as key rings. Children will also be encouraged to colour in and assemble their own Utilita house, wire-up an electric circuit to light the windows and add it to our very own ‘Electric City’ - a large scale colouring competition with some incredible prizes to be won, including a Humanoid Intelligent Programmable Remote Control Super Robot!

The event will be running on the May bank holiday weekend of the 24th, 25th and 26th and will be totally free to attend. Held at the beautiful Brixton East venue, one that many locals will be familiar with, but also one that people coming from further afield will be able to find easily. The event has been specifically designed with this venue in mind and will be a flowing journey for each attendee through the front door, all the way to the end of each day.
