A new solo exhibition by British artist Kay Hare, encapsulates 26 drawings from ‘Your book’ which evolved through the ancient Hawaiian process of Ho’oponopono. Ho’oponopono is a technique that concentrates on saying the words “Thank you, I love you, forgive me, I am sorry”.
These words with repetition can open an awareness that releases negativity. Recently Kay Hare was approached to create drawings for a book based on Ho’oponopono and she explains,
“Shortly after this book was published the idea of a new book based on everyday good feeling words came about and the title ‘Your book’ unfolded. Through realising that the book and the drawings are not mine, they are a conglomeration of ideas from a mirage of places and people that has evolved naturally and easily”.
Hare's drawings are of a simple nature; this is to inspire and find your own standpoint or perhaps form your own vision around the meaning of the words. It is your exhibition to glimpse into the energy surrounding words.
