Celebrate London Wine Week With Canela Restaurant And Bar
Canela, a brand new Portuguese Restaurant and Wine Bar will be celebrating London Wine Week with a series of wine tasting evenings taking place on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd June 2014.

Priced at £10 per person, each intimate evening will be hosted by two notable producers, offering guests a fascinating insight into the history, flavours and distinction of Portugual’s varied wine regions. After each hour-long wine tasting session, guests are invited to eat in the restaurant and enjoy £10 off their final bill.
In addition to this, throughout the whole of wine week, Canela will be selling wines priced over £35 per bottle at only £5 per glass. This gives Londoners the chance to taste premium Portuguese wine at a very reasonable price.

Monday’s talk will be hosted by an expert from Torre do Frade, a wine producer from the Alentejo region, in the Southern half of Portugal. Torre Do Frade is a family-run, but well established estate that has been producing wine since 1839. Guests will be invited to try 3 Torre do Frade wines: White - ‘Virgo’, 2011, and Viognier, 2013 and Red - a premium wine, Torre do Frade, Reserva, 2007

Also present at Monday’s tasting will be a representative from Queve Do Porto.

The Quevedo cellar is a modern and forward thinking producer located in S. João da Pesqueira, a small town in the heart of Douro Valley. Focusing mainly on Ports, their Douro wine, is a fun, young, quality-driven wine, that has been marketed solely through Social Media. Guests will try both white and red 2011 Oscar wines.
