On Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June, London will be host to the Londonaise, the UK’s largest public entry international boules tournament in Britain and everyone is invited to take part.
A perfect way to spend a sunny June weekend, the Londonaise will be held in the beautiful surroundings of Barnard Park in Islington N1 0JB London and will make for a lovely day out with family and friends.

Sponsored by Eurostar, French Radio London and RICARD, the tournament will roll into action on Saturday 8th June at 1pm with a leisurely afternoon of an open mixed mêlée, where teams of two or three will be put together and everyone can try their hand at four games. If you win three games, you will be rewarded with a bottle of wine, and if you win four games, two bottles.
Entry on the Saturday is just £2 per person. The afternoon will serve as a good practice day if you want a bit of a ‘warm-up’ ahead of Sunday’s Londonaise Triples - set to be the biggest international tournament in the UK.

Sunday’s Triples will be a full day of boules for which you can book in advance or, if you spontaneously decide that you’re feeling game, you can just turn up on the day. Everyone is invited to take part no matter what your level - the idea is to participate and have fun and there will be some very generous cash prizes up for grabs.

Thierry Tomasin of theLondonaise says: “All you need is a moderate eye for a ball, and you’re halfway there! There will be top international players participating, but there are categories for novices and we want as many people to come along - it’s a really great day out.”

The Sunday event will run from 9am until 5pm and entry will be £30 per team of three. Those who prefer register on the day itself are asked to arrive at 8.45am.
