Walking Tour with Michael Owens of London Urban Visits
Sun 1st June 2014
2pm – 3.30pm
An exploration of one of London’s least known but most talked about areas-to-be –the Lower Lea Valley and the fringes of the Olympic Park, where east London’s past and future collide. A short walk from Bow to Hackney Wick, the Olympic Park, Three Mills and Sugarhouse Lane encounters industrial dereliction, artist led rebirth, natural assets, historic relics, and brash new development of all kind.
Meet at Nunnery Gallery Cafe at 1.45pm.
Finish at East London Painting Prize Shortlist Exhibtion at Sugarhouse Lane E15.
Wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for rain showers.
