The Lucky Dog Picturehouse
We are dedicated to recreating the original cinema experience, bringing together classic silent films and live, period specific music.Working with some of the best young musicians in London, we have performed at numerous venues across London including the BFI, Southbank (2014), LoCo Film Festival (2014), Standon Calling festival (2013) and Abney Park's outdoor cinema series (2013).

Charlie Chaplin in The Adventurer (1917)
USA, 1917. Dir. Charlie Chaplin. Starring Charlie Chaplin and Edna Purviance.
2014 is a very special year for Chaplin fans as it celebrates not only Chaplin's 125th anniversary, but also the centenary of his Little Tramp character's first appearance.
The Little Tramp does what he does best, bringing havoc and laughs wherever he goes! After escaping prison and saving a young woman and her mother from drowning he is quickly welcomed in to 'polite' society, but can he keep his cool or will he be unmasked?

Harold Lloyd in Never Weaken (1921)
USA, 1921. Dir. Fred Newmeyer. Starring Harold Lloyd and Mildred Davis.
Welcome to wonderful world of Harold Lloyd; the poster boy of the 1920s. Despite losing both an index finger and thumb (upon mistaking a REAL bomb for a prop, as one does), Lloyd will amaze you with his aerial acrobatics up on the dizzying heights of a skyscraper!
Never Weaken (1921) sees Lloyd's character seemingly cast-aside by his true love and as a result, sets about the rather morbid task of killing himself. Inevitably, this fails to come to fruition; with the fates instead planting him atop one of the highest scaffolds in town - but will he get down?
