Royal Central School of Speech and Drama Presents: The Tights Ball

A unique collaboration between MA Music Theatre students, conceptual artists Anna Kompaniets, Lenka Horakova and Platform 7 and their Camden Tights project.

The artists collect broken tights from the city and transform them into artefacts, such as dresses and a giant ball. Collecting the tights means talking to and collecting stories from people, and these stories, like the tights themselves, become wound together into performances in specific locations in Camden. Camden Tights is not only a beautiful message about how recycling can transform lives, but also a multimedia, all-singing, all-dancing spectacle featuring 20 talented creators and performers with the backdrop of a special refuse tipper truck provided by Camden Council. The performances are expected to last about 20 minutes.
