JW3 is delighted to invite She’Koyokh to celebrate thirteen years of music-making and also their new album ‘Wild Goats and Unmarried Women’. Hailed by Songlines magazine as “the UK's best Klezmer and Balkan music band”, She'Koyokh have spent over a decade sponging up the rich folk music of Eastern Europe, Turkey and the Balkans. The eight-strong lineup boasts members from the UK, USA, Greece, Serbia and Turkey.
“Britain’s best Klezmer and Balkan music band” - Simon Broughton, Songlines
“Our ears tingled as Meg Hamilton’s violin spiralled and sobbed through a wordless Jewish prayer, and two clarinets duelled with the drummer during the climactic Serbian Rumba.” - Geoff Brown, The Times, Klezmahler with the Aurora Orchestra
“It’s sophisticated, it’s multi-lingual, and it might be an important hint of where Klezmer in Britain is headed right now.” - John Pheby, fRoots
