Notting Hill Carnival Presents: The Road To Carnival

The Notting Hill Arts Club is excited to announce a spectacular series of events,
The Road to Carnival, in the week leading up to August's Bank Holiday Carnival weekend. The Road to Carnival will feature legendary and pioneering DJs from the history of Notting Hill Carnival alongside some of the current and future carnival stars.

Radio 1Xtra DJ don, TV presenter and compilation king Trevor Nelson MBE launches our week on Monday 18 August by rewinding to the special vibe and even more distinctive selections of the mid-'80s, when he was jointly running the Madhatter Sound System warehouse parties and DJing on the pirate station Kiss FM. We're looking forward to old school Carnival anthems and club classics as he mixes funk, soul, hip hop, reggae, rare groove, R&B and boogie tunes in a freestyle warehouse-party fashion.
