Book Slam South @ The Clapham Grand

Book Slam, London's best night of music, words and comedy takes to the stage at the historic Clapham Grand with a line-up that includes Mark Watson, Simon Rich, Sophia Thakur, Moss Project.

If you fancy a tickle, we plan to tickle your fancy with a line up that includes two of the smartest, funniest and all round most talented writers we know.

When not being one of our best known and most brilliant stand-up comedians, MARK WATSON is a wonderfully gifted novelist and he'll introduce us to his latest, 'Hotel Alpha'. He has recently received a 5 star review from Time Out for his brilliant show at the Edinburgh Fringe.

SIMON RICH was one of the youngest ever writers on 'Saturday Night Live' where he worked for four seasons. We first met him armed with his short stories, 'The Last Girlfriend On Earth', which will shortly become a sitcom, but tonight he'll read from his latest collection, 'Spoiled Brats'.

Poetics are served by one of the brightest sparks on the London spoken word circuit, SOPHIA THAKUR.

The immensely talented MOSS PROJECT will be performing from their latest album 'What Do You See When You Close Your Eyes?'

There'll be good food available from a menu created by the excellent CULT EVENTS, and the estimable NEWHAM BOOKS will be on hand to sell signed copies of the authors' books and other merchandise.
