A FREE week long street festival celebrating African culture
Monday 23rd- Friday 27th May
A Taste of Africa: Mouth-watering African food is being served daily in Kingly Court 12pm-3pm.
African Bazaar: FREE dance and drumming classes and workshops from Jembe drum to belly dancing plus stalls selling African wares at discounted prices and a vast array of information and literature about Africa. Daily in Kingly Court, level 2 12pm-9pm.
Live Evening Performances: Each evening offers a different and exciting experience from African Jazz, The Spoken Word, Classical African Music and Afrocentric Music to an Afro Chic fashion show. Kingly Court 6pm-9pm.
Saturday 28th May
Urban African Music Festival: Battling it out on stage will be Africa’s leading bands with boundary breaking tracks bringing you Afropean Bashment, Afro-beat Hip Hop and much more. Kingly Court 12pm-6pm
Sunday 29th – Monday 30th May
Africa Dance: An interactive showcase of dancers, contortionists and acrobats that traces the movement of African dance styles around the world that will transform the streets of Carnaby into an Afro-Wonderland. Kingly Court and Carnaby Street 12pm-6pm.
