This time-warp of a street market walk takes you back in time to when all the London markets would be up at the crack of dawn: unloading, uncrating and unpacking a wide variety of produce.
A couple of markets still function as bona fide wholesale markets, with a retail aspect on the side; and it is these which you visit with Sandra as the sun comes up.
At least two markets are covered in this 3-hour walk departing at 8am daily which allows you to glimpse the markets from a native`s viewpoint.
Plenty of coffee stops along the way, including one for a fry-up and all the while Ms. Shevey is rabbiting on about market history, culture, changes, refurbishments, invasions etc.
Gets you going for the day....and I`m not just talking breakfast.
