Performance storytelling with Nell Phoenix, Sally Pomme Clayton & Tim Ralphs

Set the controls for the heart of the sun and the dark side of the moon, and strap yourselves in for a Crick Crack Club space odyssey.

This gravity defying night of fairytale, myth and epic concerns all things off-earth - disastrous celestial marriages, dodgy dealings between the sun and the moon, theft, concealment, debauchery and more than a touch of electromagnetic radiation.

In flight entrainment will be provided by rocket man, Tim Ralphs; the hostess with the mostest, Sally Pomme Clayton, and the lady with the drinks trolley, Nell Phoenix; with air traffic control from our Maestro of Ceremonies Ben Haggarty

'UK's most vivid and exciting storytelling organisation' Ian McMillan, The Times

NELL PHOENIX balances beautifully the comedic, the magical, and occasionally the downright rude, through an utterly engaging storytelling style. Recent work includes stories told at Highgrove, Hackney Library, Kensington Palace, the V&A and at 40 Winks. She is Artistic Director of StoryNight at Torriano, one of London’s thriving performance storytelling clubs for adults.

TIM RALPHS is one of the most exciting young talents on the British storytelling scene. Teller in residence of the Word Smack Cabaret and host of Sheffield’s The Story Forge, his performance style is energetic and his composition knows no bounds. Tim's work draws on our international narrative inheritance, the ever-changing cityscape of his home, fairytale, myth, legend and downright surrealism. His performances merge the contemporary with the ancient with enviable integrity and a touch of genius.

SALLY POMME CLAYTON is a pioneering storyteller and writer... who looks deceptively innocent! She has performed across the UK, in 40 Winks Hotel; The Barbican; The Soho Theatre; Northern Stage; The National Theatre; Cheltenham Music Festival; Bristol Old Vic; and 11 Downing Street. Sally Pomme has been a featured artist in many European Storytelling Festivals and toured with The British Council to Spain, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Sweden and Portugal. Her work is stunningly composed, beautifully performed and often rather surprising in content.
