"Unusual and unusually entertaining… beautiful, powerful, emotive voice…. Benton finds the drama." Pop Culture Classics

“Kiwi performer Tim Benton is spot-on.” The Stage UK

Round off the Sunday roast with a musical outing to OSO Arts Centre, Barnes, and join vocalist Tim Benton together with award winning pianist Simon Wallace.

They'll be serving up fresh takes on some great songs from 1965-75. Think - Bob Dylan, Dusty Springfield, Paul Simon, Neil Diamond, Gene Pitney, The Monkees, The Kinks and more...

"For those of us of a certain age, these were the songs of our well-spent youth. It’s fascinating to explore what they mean to us today, 40-50 years on.

"Younger generations will enjoy discovering great ‘new’ songs (somewhat re-arranged) from a particularly fertile era in popular music. UB40 were not the first to introduce ‘Red, Red Wine’!
"The arrangements are simple, evocative and tuneful, developed with the genius of Simon Wallace, leading film and TV composer (Absolutely Fabulous, Clive James Show) and collaborator with many of the UK’s finest jazz and cabaret artists."

Drinks, coffee and cake available from 2:30pm on Sunday June 14, show starts at 3pm.

“Imagine an opera/Broadway singer with a huge heart who dug the mellifluous side of rock and roll … highly impressive". Folk & Acoustic Music Exchange

“A natural born grown-up who knows how to make grown up music." MidWest Record
