The Teddington Summer Music Festival for 2015 opens on 20 June at the beautiful Normansfield Theatre with Summer Idyll featuring WAGNER'S Siegfried Idyll and SPOHR's Nonet, amongst other masterpieces.
The LONDON DVORAK ENSEMBLE features some of London's leading chamber musicians. Under their conductor Tom Higgins, they return to the festival this year in a programme based around two major works from the nineteenth century: WAGNER's miniature masterpiece Siegfried Idyll - a beautiful and romantic birthday offering for his wife - and SPOHR's tuneful Nonet. They also play Pastorale d'Ete - a short and evocative piece by HONEGGER - and DVORAK's Bagatelles Op 47, which are full of the spirit of Czech folk music.
