Free Workshop with Jazz Maestro Joe Stilgoe

On Tuesday 29 September, Rose Theatre Kingston and one of Britain's most renowned jazz singers have teamed up to create Songs of Film: Workshop with Joe Stilgoe. Guests are invited to learn about the wonderful genre of jazz at this free, one-off workshop designed to be interactive and fun, the perfect way to introduce those who are new to the genre as well as engage younger audiences with the music that has inspired some of the world's most famous artists.

The workshop will take inspiration from Joe’s live show Songs of Film, which pays homage to some of the best-loved movie soundtracks of all time. Throughout the workshop, Joe will highlight the connection between the big screen and jazz, with opportunity for audience members to partake in the musical magic. Participants will also be treated to highlights from the live show itself, with Stilgoe’s renowned combination of witty storytelling and astounding music making for a very memorable afternoon.
