2015 sees four musicians with an array of talent and panache hit the nation with a brand new fusion of R'n'B, hip-hop, jazz and dirty funk grooves. Lola's Day Off features Pete Ray Biggins (drums), Moyos Dos Santos (bass), Carl Hudson (keyboards) and James Gardiner-Bateman (saxophone). Having performed and toured with artists as diverse as Amy Winehouse, Chaka Khan, Level 42, Joss Stone, Professor Green and Adele. They have a wealth of musicality, love and energy! This exciting unique project features guest artists Soweto Kinch (alto saxophonist and rapper) and the highly accomplished young jazz singer Emma Smith.
Pocket Dragon is a collective of 5 musicians who create a fusion of hip-hop, soul and jazz that takes the listener on an extraordinary musical journey. Their debut EP strengthens the energy of their lives show - with the intense bass-lines of Phil Van Den Brandeler, the heavy groove of drummer Callum Green, creative guitarist Mikayl Dawood, the soul-tinged keyboards of Manley O'Connor and Emma Barney's smooth vocals. Pocket Dragon's sound is drawn from their eclectic musical tastes and styles. Definitely not to be missed!
