Funzing World Selfie Championship

Funzing, a community marketplace that unveils unique events and the best stuff to do in London, has today launched the first Selfie World Championship, teaming up with self-proclaimed 'Queen of the Selfies, Karen Danczuk, to offer selfie-lovers a shot at being named the best on the planet.

Budding Kim Kardashians and Zayn Maliks can put their money where their pout is and register at www.funzing.com, with the first 30 people to do so being entered into the Selfie World Championship. The eventual champion will take home the coveted Golden Selfie Stick trophy and £1,000.

At the launch of the competition, Karen Danczuk, said: "Selfies are a great way for people to express their personality in one image. They are also something people take very seriously, myself obviously included, which is why I'm delighted to be teaming up with Funzing for the Selfie World Championship. I can't wait to get judging and may the best pout win."

The finals are taking place in London on Saturday 24th October and will put finalists through their paces with six different disciplines, including mirror and pout selfies, the go-to shots for any self-respecting selfie-taker. Karen Danczuk will judge contestants on the creativity and originality of their pose in each category.
