RCM alumnus John Wilson, one of the UK’s most in-demand conductors, makes a welcome return to the RCM stage to conduct Dutilleux’s 'Le double' symphony.
This captivating work showcases Dutilleux’s skills as composer who was intensely attuned to the sensual and profound. Also on the bill is Ravel’s famous and evocative Rapsodie espagnole, highlighting the mutual inspiration and the differences between these masterful French composers.
Following his two sell-out BBC Proms performances in 2015, don’t miss this opportunity to see John Wilson conduct this exciting programme.
The concert will be preceded by a pre-concert talk, free to concert-ticket holders.
