On March 10th the Cafe at Dulwich Picture Gallery will be hosting a food and wine evening with a difference! We all know that there's a science to pairing wine and food but cyder can be perfectly matched too...and Aspall Cyder are out to prove it...
Each of the four delicious courses, prepared by Chef Wilfred Droillard and his team at the Gallery will be paired with a wine from Bibendum, the wine merchant, and a cyder from Aspall. Before each course the dish and its corresponding tipple will be introduced so that when it comes to voting for your favourite pairing you're able to make an educated choice. Let the battle commence, will apples pip grapes to the post?

Lightly soused mackerel, buttermilk granita, compressed cucumber, heritage beetroot and dill oil
Wild mushroom and watercress pâté, pickled enoki mushrooms, goats’ curd and dark rye wafers
Confit belly of English pork and eight hour pulled pork cheek croquette, roasted cauliflower purée, Swiss chard and Madeira reduction
Amaretto and pumpkin ravioli with whipped Gorgonzola, butternut squash, shallots and toasted almonds
Blackberry bavarois, vanilla infused apple, blackberry jelly, green apple macaroon and cinnamon crumb
Cornish Camembert, Hereford Hop and Oxford Isis served with fig conserve, oatcakes and wafers
